Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
Episode #37
Scribbling Mokona
Syaoran, Sakura and Fay have arrived in the next world... but something isn't right! They've all been superdeformed into chibi people! Syaoran and Sakura are in shock and Fay laughs at how wierd Kurogane looks.
Kurogane meanwhile is pissed and demands Mokona to explain what's going on. The only problem is is that Mokona is missing! Recalling how they were all seperated in the last world, they all set out to look for him but can't find him anywhere. They do however find this world's versions of Suzuran and Souseki who seem rather happy and are advertising their circus along with Karen and several other performers, all of them also deformed.
Elsewhere, in a beautiful house by a roaring fireplace is Mokona fast asleep. Unknown to him, a woman finds him.
Back in the deformed world, Sakura mentions to Syaoran the memory she got from the last feather. It's of the giant ruins in the desert in her home world of Clow. Syaoran mentions that he has also been to the land of Clow and comments on how it was like the ruins were trying to fly away into the sky.
Back in the realistic house, Mokona has woken up and started looking for everyone. Almost immediately though he finds one of Sakura's feathers which is floating above a piece of paper on a table! On the paper is drawn Syaoran, Sakura, Fay and Kurogane! As he's looking at this picture the woman from before appears behind him (it's Emerald from Magic Knight Rayearth!) and explains that this mystic feather has the power to create things and change events and time itself. When Mokona explains that this feather belongs to Sakura, Emerald suggests that perhaps Sakura was drawn towards it and that is how they ended up in the feather's creation (it is being used as a quill of sorts).
Apparently they can remove everyone from the paper by changing events in the story in the right way. Mokona gets to work and starts drawing and writing some new plot points.
Meanwhile Syaoran has run up to Fay and Sakura in a panic! Kurogane needs help! A Mokona-flower had attacked him! Suddenly Mokona's face begins to appear everywhere and when Karen performs one of her fire tricks, instead of a fire explosion millions of multicoloured Mokona appear and cover everyone!
Mokona is getting frustrated. Emerald explains that his heart must be focused on what he wants to do. Mokona suggests changing the story's location. Emerald says it is possible so they do so.
Unfortunately this means that the entire world the gang are in disapears and they all get sucked into the void! When they regain conciousness the location has changed to a school and their memories have been altered to suit the story. Kurogane is their teacher, Syaoran and Sakura are both students as well as childhood sweethearts and their classroom is full of characters from other CLAMP series.
At lunch, Sakura and Syaoran who keep looking longingly at each other at the slightest touch encounter Fay (who is a science teacher) who asks Syaoran for help assisting two explorers Souseki and Suzuran in translating some Mokona shaped ruins near the school. Syaoran does so almost instantly and says that the message is a warning for them not to touch a gold cup. As if on cue, Fay holds up a gold cup which triggers the activation of an evil force which takes control of Kurogane and transforms him into a giant Godzilla-like monster which begins to destroy the city.
Syaoran states that the ruins says if two pure people kiss, tragedy will be averted. Syaoran and Sakura attampt to kiss several times but they seem to get blasted off, in true hillarious Team Rocket style, before they can do so. When all seemed lost Souseki and Suzuran kiss and a giant white robo-Mokona appears and sucks Kurogane out of the Godzilla being. The robot then turns and sucks in Syaoran, Sakura and Fay.
In the real world, Mokona opens his mouth and spits out everyone who are now confused, have no memory of what just happened but at least they're in their normal forms again.
Mokona welcomes them back and claims that he had found a feather with the help of a nice lady. Only the lady seems to have vanished. Mokona wonders if she had died a long time ago and if she was now a spirit. Sakura sees how concerned Mokona is and lets him hold on to the feather until they get to the next world so he can hold on to his memories of the nice woman who helped him.
Mokona thanks her and powers up to transport everyone away. After they leave the world slowly begins to turn monochrome and then a great whiteness fades in erasing everthing.
Emerald and the entire world had been the creation of the feather.

This episode got a great laugh in my appartment! Bee Train really did a great job with the "chibi" animations! Hillarious! The script was also spot on and had some laugh out loud moments especially when Syaoran and Sakura almost kissed... again... and again...
Mokona also got to play with everyone as well, though is it just me or does Mokona only "sense" the feather after he sees it?
Next week is ANOTHER anime-only world! Bring it on, I say!
Today's Crossovers
Princess Emerald: The tragic princess from Magic Knight Rayearth makes her second appearance in the series. Strangely she never mentions her name to Mokona, but we know who she is.
Karen: X/1999's Karen returns straight away for another appearance in the anime (this seems to be her year!) though in a very similar guise to the one in the last episode. She looks a bit different though. I just can't put my finger on it.
Yuzuriha: Another X/1999 character appears and like most of the other characters is simply a silent split second cameo.
Seishiro: I'm not 100% sure this is him but the glasses make me think it is. Possibly xxxHolic's Watanuki but I doubt it. If anyone thinks it could be someone else, please let me know.
Arashi: Go X/1999! Go! One more cameo in the crossover regular, Arashi. This time without her husband Sorata.
Kotoko: Chobit's little mascot appears again in a silent cameo.
Masayoshi: Making his fourth Tsubasa appearance, Masayoshi appears in a silent cameo here.
Ryanban's Son: Chun Hyang's enemy returns in a silent classroom cameo.
Ryu-ou: Syaoran's buddy rocks up again in a silent cameo in the classroom scene.
Kumaraten: The RG Veda character returns... I think. Could possibly be Primiera, but the hair makes me think it's Kumaraten.
Chun Hyang: The little Korean warrior has a silent cameo.
